Ray Godkin OAM

CYCLING BIO

Ray has been a major driver of cycling, in Australia and around the world, for some 50 years.

Ray presided over some of the most important developments ever in Australian Cycling. He facilitated the introduction of cycling to the Australian Institute of Sport, which has progressively paved the way to our outstanding athlete development and international success.

Became Treasurer of FIAC (the international body controlling amateur cycling) following the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games and was a major contributor in the merger of the professional body with FIAC to form the UCI as we know it today. 

Ray went on to become Senior Vice President of the UCI, a position he still holds today in an honours capacity.
