AusCycling has named the six Australians who’ll compete in the men’s edition of the 2023 Tour de l’Avenir, the premier road cycling stage race for under-23 riders.

AusCycling CEO Marne Fechner has thanked athletes, staff and organisers for their outstanding efforts at the first all-discipline UCI World Championships in Scotland. 

The Victorian Junior State Team has been announced for the 2023 AusCycling Junior Road National Championships.

The Australian women’s road team were pushed to their limits in an explosive elite women’s road race, which capped off the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships.  

And just like that, the UCI World Championships are over!

On the last day of competition, we celebrated another medal: silver to Sienna Pal in the junior women’s BMX racing. That was a tale of never giving up: she crashed in the quarter-final and almost didn’t make it through. But her persistence got her to the final, where she put it all together to make the podium.

A gruelling women’s road race saw a big crash to Sarah Roy, who was checked by the team doctor and thankfully appears to be OK. We’re wishing her the best with her recovery.

It’s been a day of mixed emotions at the BMX Racing Championship in Glasgow, with the elation of a silver medal contrasted against the sharp pain of how tough BMX racing can be.
