Matthew Richardson
A former gymnast, British-born Richardson took up cycling in his early teens after an elbow injury cut his gymnastics career short.
In 2017, Richardson surged to dual under 19 national titles in the sprint and team sprint, and made his Australian team debut at the 2017 UCI Junior World Championships in Italy where he finished fifth in the team sprint.
Matthew Glaetzer
Matthew Glaetzer began his junior sporting career with a national championship silver medal in the pole vault at age 14. However, injury forced the Adelaide youngster into a new sport, and after choosing triathlon and excelling on the bike, he decided to join Central Districts Cycling Club.
Just six months later, the emerging sprinter represented Australia at the 2009 UCI Junior Track World Championships, and by the end of 2010 he had won two junior world titles.
Thomas Cornish
Thomas Cornish began as an all-round junior cyclist on road and track, but showed his greatest potential over short distances on the velodrome.
His sprinting ability reached the international stage in 2018, when he broke the junior world record and won gold in the kilometre time trial at the UCI Junior Track World Championships in Aigle. Cornish also won silver in the sprint.
Now in the elite ranks, the Sydney rider moved to Adelaide to continue his development with the Australian Cycling Team Podium Potential Academy.
Kristina Clonan
Kristina Clonan has transitioned from the Australian Cycling Team’s endurance program to reinvent herself as a world-class track sprinter.
As a junior, the Sunshine Coast native won the 2015 Junior Oceania Road Race Championships and took bronze in the scratch race at the 2016 Junior Track World Championships.
